Bought cake / tart there today. The staff was really very polite, something that is becoming increasingly rare. When I tried it, my husband and I just thought "that's how heaven tastes". It's expensive, that has to be clear, but what you get for is just really delicious and handmade.

We got married on July 24th and ordered our wedding cake from Cafe Haertle. We had very special requests and I have to say this cake even exceeded my expectations. It was precisely tailored to our needs and perfect. The advice was very professional and thought was given to every problem until a solution was found. We didn't have to make any compromises, everything according to our wishes. Absolutely amazing taste. Highly recommended.

The cake is great, but the café is like Corona doesn't exist. Totally full, distances are not kept and there is no ventilation at all. It's very warm in there. It's a shame, but currently not recommended. Then we asked to pack our cake that we couldn't make it to take with us .. Unfortunately we noticed at home that the cake was not ours but the rest of another customer!

Thanks to your customer stopper, I became aware that you sell wheat-free cakes. There was great joy! So for the first time in a year I was able to eat a piece of real cake. Delicious! I have to admit, it didn't stop at that one piece.

From the beginning I would like to say that I have never entered this shop. I wanted to apply for an internship. What then bothered me was 1. She has no opening times. 2. They don't have a website where you can look up an email etc. 3. The phone number is wrong. Sher bad please improve

The best cake, great ice cream and a delicious lunch menu. It is sometimes too loud inside because it reverberates badly (front area), otherwise there is nothing to complain about.

I've never had such an unfriendly waitress! & there wasn't a cake either, as the shop will close soon .. OK but the shop was totally full and the waitress didn't want to serve me anymore .. not hire such people honestly ..

Very comfortable, no matter what time of day or what time of the meal, very competent, friendly service. Good value for money. And the cake ... just noble and delicious. But the wedding soup with asparagus is also my highlight.

Have been coming to breakfast for the holidays for years, it's always very good. But the selection of pies, cakes and snacks is excellent - everything is very tasty and always fresh. The things are always made according to traditional recipes. Hats off for that there is still someone who does it that way. My favorites are the Frankfurter Kranz, the Sachertorte and Florentians all a celebration! I like to go there too rarely.

Too bad. The cakes are really tasty, but the service is damn bad. After everything had been arranged for an order with a value of € 80, I finally wanted to give it up 20 minutes before the shop closed and was personally rejected by the boss on the grounds that it was now too late. Obviously, Ms. Hartle is not dependent on orders.

A must for cake lovers! Probably the best cakes in Braunschweig. Nice café with a large selection of cakes that are freshly prepared every day. Friendly staff but it can also take a while if it is full at the weekend. Well located in the center with a park next door to burn at least a few calories on a walk ?

Cakes nice but portions too large and tea hopeless. Water not boiling so tea bags didn't work and milk hot!

Unbelievable cakes, huge portions... If you love sweet - this is place for you. To eat 2 pieces, you have to be really hungry ?

Don't get distracted by the elders and the old fashioned/conservative Style of Haertle - the cakes are insane! Both taste and quantity (If you're lucky you get nearly two pieces of cake for the price of one) are top Level! Nearly everytime when I am in Braunschweig I go there and try another sort of cake, they seem to have endless different sorts! However, sometimes I get a grumpy waitor but that doesn't bother me anymore after the first bite..

Been here a few times for 'coffee and cake' in the afternoon. Service is reliably brusque and the counter ordering system can be intimidating if you aren't a German-speaker. The slices of cake are sometimes a bit old, dry, and stale, depending on when they were cut and how much of it is left. Prices are okay, and vary depending on the cake selected. The catered wedding cakes and tarts that I have had from here are always quite good. Cash only; might take EC cards but not credit cards.
